Have you ever wondered what it would be like to look across the room and feel a spark of recognition with someone you have never met or when music plays in the background as you look into each other’s eyes as he drives down the street? What do you do when this connection consumes your every waking moment? You follow that line and see where it could lead. At least, that is what Aeris does when she meets Hunter. Aeris is a young woman that has recently graduated Julliard, has her future set in stone, and will not be sidelined by anything, including love. If anyone wants to be involved with her it will be on her terms and the only terms she has, is playing first chair violinist for the New York Philharmonic.
Then she ignores her father’s advice and goes to the Phoenix Research Lab for Highly Contagious Diseases, to see what this place has to do with her and why she feels it has something to do with her mother’s death when she was little.
Through death threats, deathly injuries and cocooning possibilities, we follow Aeris and Hunter through her metamorphosis into the unknown.
I really enjoyed this book. It is one that keeps you are on the edge of your seat and when it is over you are begging for more, or if you are like me, emailing the author and asking, “How much longer.”
