Autumn in the City of Angels
First, I must say that I received this ebook on a read for an honest review.
I’m a sucker for any dystopian novel but I have to admit, it took me a while to decide to just sit down and read this. I just wasn’t feeling post apocalyptic, or so I thought. I decided to start reading it 2 days ago and didn’t want to stop. I loved the characters. I love how Autumn is described as having a dysfunctional family that worked. You don’t even realize they are dysfunctional unless you are paying attention. Once she realizes she is all alone, she pulls herself up by the boot strings and decides to survive. I love how she makes a new family but sticks to her guns on how she feels for Ben. I love how she is willing to destroy what safety she has been provided to attempt to save her new family. I enjoyed the electricity that is portrayed with Grey. About half way through, I knew something was going to happen to change the whole layout of where this was headed. I had it about figured out, but it was ok. It allowed me to enjoy the rest without having to critique it. The ending, though. That hurt. I can’t wait to see where these two wonderful writers will take us in the rest of the series.
